Ed and Brenda Laquidara: Founders and Primary Owners
Ed and Brenda Laquidara have spent their entire lives working with animals, from farm animals to exotics. In 1997, Ed and Brenda turned their hobby of caring for animals into a full-time professional animal education facility. Animal Adventures is located in Bolton, Massachusetts. We take in exotic animals that are no longer able to be kept by their current owners. The animals that come into the facility are either kept at Animal Adventures and used for educational programs, or are placed at other animal facilities. Animal Adventures delivers thousands of educational programs throughout New England each year.
In keeping with our high standards none of our animals are wild caught. We rescue abandoned, orphaned and neglected animals and provide them with a high-quality life while using them to inspire and educate you. We also receive animals from specialty breeders.
RenewThink is an international trailblazer creating meaningful sustainability plans for businesses. Together, we can offer you this exciting opportunity for measurable educational outcomes and cost saving initiatives.
Sustainability is a business opportunity, not just a business cost. RenewThink helps you realize it.
New purpose. Taking measures to reduce negative effects on environment and society is the important first step. Not easy, it can be done with firm commitment. Realizing positive impact on reputation, staff morale and the bottom-line. RenewThink’s structured approach helps you identify clear-cut sustainability objectives, implement operational changes and realize improved competitiveness.
Profits from purpose. The next challenge is to repurpose your organization to create positive effects on environment and society. It requires enduring commitment, investment of management time, business resources, engagement with stakeholders. Change management. Returns are long-term and strategic, about the competitiveness, thesustainability of your organization. May not fit seamlessly into quarterly targets and business cycles. It is the right thing to do nevertheless, for society and most importantly, your organization. RenewThink helps devise your competitive strategy, incorporating sustainability objectives. And implement it to realize an optimal return on your investment.
Through regulation, government can aim to protect us from the negative effects of unsustainable business. Through policy and stimulation programs, government can support investment and innovation into more sustainable business. But the government’s power is limited. It cannot regulate public demand. It is slow to drive positive changes in our behavior. It cannot choose between competing innovations and opportunities.
The founders of RenewThink believe that businesses and entrepreneurs are best placed for that. We believe in market forces, in innovation by the private sector. We believe in the capacity, willingness and ability of businesses to drive sustainability. Because in the end, it is good business.
Purpose creates profit. The drive towards sustainability drives innovation, competition and investment. Demands a solid return on that investment. That is what RenewThink aims to support and accelerate. We truly believe in the alignment of public interests and business purpose. For profit. For society.

Who we are…
Originally founded in 2004, our organization early-on focused mostly on community education (especially in-school curriculum enrichment) based around live-animal presentations: our Wildlife Encounters® shows!
Programs and classes, delivered by highly skilled teachers and educators, would feature a wide variety of non-releasable wildlife that came to us as: surrendered pets, confiscated illegal wildlife, injured and rehabbed animals deemed not re-releasable.
Animals required for our programming objectives that we did not personally maintain, we would source from partner organizations (for example, for owls we currently work with the Wings of the Dawn Bird Sanctuary in Henniker, NH).
We believe that public education, and a resulting change in human and societal behaviors and practices, are key to the objective of living environmentally and personally responsible lives that will help conserve and protect global biodiversity.
Our philosophy, morality, conduct and messages focus on communicating the interdependent relationship between our three core mission components: Animals, People and Earth.
